Day 7 - Prompt 4

Prompt 4

Wabi Sabi - "Japanese word for the world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.  The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete."

Impermanent, pure, humble, simple, tranquil. harmonious, imperfect, fleeting, such sweet sadness, barely a breath of the universe and life is exhaled all the more precious, leaving nothing but an echoing patina, the shadow of a memory.

How do you hold time?
How do you pause it?
How do you grieve when it has passed?
- Crowfoot

I can't tell you how resonating this prompt was for me.  It kind of broke my heart a little.  The fleeting moment captured and gone.  It's fragility.  I want to hang on all the moments and hold them close.  Precious close.  There is a kind of grieving that happens, perhaps daily without realizing, perhaps a longing and it's in that longing that we find the sweet ache of beauty and perhaps even love.

I love this image so much.  It's a tree we have in our garden.
It actually feels like a little Japanese tree.
